Common questions
I bought Pro but didn't get a license key
The license key is sent automatically by our payment provider (LemonSqueezy) to the email address you used at checkout. Check your spam / promotions folder. If it's not there after 15 minutes, email us with the email address you used and we'll resend it.
How do I activate my license?
Open MacTransfer → press ⌘ , → paste the key → click Activate. Full steps in the setup guide.
"Activation limit reached" — what now?
Each license activates up to 3 Macs. Deactivate one (MacTransfer → Settings → Deactivate on that Mac) to free a slot. If you've lost access to that Mac, email us with your license key and we'll free a slot from our side within a business day.
Refunds
We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee. Email us with the email address used at purchase. Refunds are processed by LemonSqueezy and typically reach your card within 5–10 business days. After the refund, the license becomes inactive and the Mac app reverts to Free tier on its next license check.
Cancel my subscription (Pro Annual)
You can cancel anytime from your LemonSqueezy customer portal (link is at the bottom of every purchase / renewal email). You keep Pro features until the end of the current billing period.
Phone won't connect over Wi-Fi
- Both devices on the same Wi-Fi network (not "guest" mode).
- Some corporate / hotel Wi-Fi networks block device-to-device traffic — try a personal hotspot.
- Restart the Companion app on the phone if pairing fails.
Privacy / data
MacTransfer transfers files directly between your devices on your local network. Nothing passes through our servers — we don't have any. The only data we store is your license key and the email you used to buy. Full details in our privacy policy.
